Strawberry Hill Seaside Inn

Enjoy unmatched views of Glen Cove and the Atlantic beyond at Strawberry Hill Seaside Inn.

Strawberry Hill Seaside Inn

It all starts with our matchless views of the islands and ocean. Time will slow as you stroll the manicured lawns and garden trails of our 23 hillside acres, overlooking a serene tidal cove at the shores of Penobscot Bay. Watch the sails of schooners from your own, personal balcony, swim a few laps in our crystal-clear heated pools, picnic in privacy at the waters edge, or simply relax in our impeccable rooms, each with its own distinctive decor, comfortable amenties , and stunning view of the bay. And you won't miss a thing on the bay as all the rooms come equipped with a pair of binoculars to watch the lobster boats and fishermen pull their traps or to simply watch the seals frolic in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

The view from the Inn

From the quiet comfort of our accommodations, it's a short trip to scenic Camden Harbor for shopping, dining, or daysailing, or Rockport Village, whose Marine Park opens onto a panorama of lobster boats and sails. Ever nearer, explore the bustling waterfront of Rockland, the "lobster capital of the world." A fishing community turned cultural center, Rockland is home to the renowned Farnsworth Art Museum and Wyeth Center, the newly opened Maine Lighthouse Museum, and the historic Strand Theater, recently restored — along with a colorful array of shops and restaurants. From the Rockland Harbor, feel the saltwater spray on a ferry trip out to one of the island you've wondered about from your balcony by the bay. For a peaceful walk, stroll out on the jetty in Rockland Harbor and relax at the Breakwater lighthouse while the boats sail peacefully by.

Don't forget that the Maine State Lobster Festival takes place every summer in Rockland during the the first week of August. Also, the North Atlantic Blues Festival takes place every July and has become a hit with Blues Fans around the country. Other events include the Boats and Harbor Show, Christmas by the Sea, and the Friendship Sloop Days.

Among other nearby attractions:the Owls Head Transportation Museum, the Knox Masion (Montpelier) in Thomaston,

Birch Point Beach and Camden Hills State Parks, Spruce Head village where you can see the lobstermen bring their catches ashore, dozens of scenic hiking trails, and the lighthouse of Owls Head and Marshall Points (Port Clyde).

But is all starts with our matchless view of the islands.

Our accommodations have been awarded the AAA 3 Diamond rating and we are open year round. All rooms are non-smoking. Please visit us on the web at www.strawberryhillseasideinn.com. And don't forget to ask about our famous cat.

This place is great — I stayed there last year with my wife. There are two other nice places right next door (I think they may be all related in some way).
