Thomas Mark Szelog
Thomas and Lee Szelog
Thomas and Lee Szelog were the first tenants to live in the newly renovated former lightkeeper's house at Marshall Point Light in Port Clyde, Maine. A professional photographer, Tom kept a visual record of their years at Marshall Point. Both of the Szelogs also kept personal journals, and when the time came to put together a record of their time in this most remarkable home, they delved back into their journals, selecting the most vivid and interesting recollections to share with their readers. Our Point of View: Fourteen Years at a Maine Lighthouse, published by Down East.

Reader Comments:
I recently found Marshall point light, quite by accident by land...I had seen it many times while on various schooners...absolutely great shots shared here.

I have visited Marshall Point Light twice. It is beautiful there.
Me and my husband found Marshall Point Light by accident about 5 years ago and we absolutely fell in love with it. I need to go back there just for old times sake. I'll always remember the nice woman who was there with her mom who took our picture near the lighthouse. It holds great sentimental value, and I treasure it. The view there is right up there with Portland Head, and Isle Au Haut....... I am blessed to have traveled to such beautiful places on Earth!!!!
