At Its Best:

Pursuing a Maine Education

Yes, you can afford it.

Pursuing a Maine Education
In the March issue of Down East senior editor Jeff Clark wrote about how paying for a Maine education is easier than you think.  Here is some additional information for parents and students alike seeking to find financial aid to foot the bills:

Start with your guidance counselor at your local high school. They have  a wealth of information on all the scholarships, grants, and loans available to Maine students.

Contact the financial aid offices at the college of your choice. They, too, have a plethora of information on how to apply for school-specific aid.

Turn to the Web. Two websites that offer plenty of information about financial aid for Mainers:

www.fafsa.ed.gov

www.famemaine.com

www.mainecf.org
