My wife and I were raised in the St.Louis,Mo area. When I was a boy, I was in the Sea Scouts and sailed on the Mississippi river. I received
"Sailing" magazine and saw the adds for Great Northern Docks on a lake in Maine — what a dream!
After fifty years and many Navy and corporate moves life gave an ironic turn and I wound up on THAT lake in Maine.
Every March my granddaughters come to me and say "We just can't wait for Maine!"
As they fly off the dock, magic happens that they will never forget. Something I could only dream of at their age. My Maine.
